Cosmo is one of my favorite birds. I have not dna tested this bird but solely on the behavior I believe this beautiful Sun conure is a female. I've had her since the summer of 2009 and know she was hatched the spring of 2009 so she is near three years old. You can see she is trustworthy and loves to snuggle up to me. I have several videos to show how she interacts with me and how kooky she is. I simply adore her personality. I have other birds listed and am now listing some of my personal pet birds due to an unfortunate accident I had in December.... (read more) I've broken my leg and must reduce some of the work I do for the difficulties I have with my leg.
You must know that Sun Conures are extremely noisy .... if you cannot tolerate a vocal bird or any of your family members do not respond to this ad. She truly is a wonderful bird and loves, loves, loves to sit on your shoulder. I strongly encourage you to read about them and what wonderful companions they make despite their loud calls. I just have to be honest because her next home I will pray will be her permanent home.
Here is an extra video I uploaded so you can see how the loves attention. You may also see another short video by clicking on the WEbsite URL above.
I encourage you to call me instead of email.
I raised birds for five years and due to health problems I quit in 2009. Chemo zapped my energy levels and as much as I loved the few babies I raised I took my nest boxes down and go to bed like most reasonable people now instead of staying up late feeding babies. It's been difficult letting my beautiful birds go. My big love of avian friends are the crimson bellied conures and green cheeks. Twenty years ago I laid my eyes on my first blue headed pionus and succumbed to one beautiful baby I named Isaboo and unfortunately I now must find her a new home.... (read more) She is a great girl with a quirky personality I adore. I love my sun conure as much ( I really love them all) because she loves to be held and is most attentive to me... such a kooky girl. I currently own thirteen birds ( or I should say they own me!) I felt that was a reasonable number to take care of since my babies and breeders were sold. Though I still have offspring I kept as pets. I'm looking for quality homes for the birds listed. December of 2011 I fell and broke my leg. Thirteen screws and a 14 inch bone plate have made daily life harder. By the end of the day I feel like my knee is screwed on too tight even though it was my femur that fractured. Life has been tough and I have one great husband who took care of my flock when I couldn't walk or take care of myself. My leg will never be normal but I am thankful to be able to walk again and take care of my home and birds. I love these birds, I take excellent care of them cleaning cages daily and washing water cups every evening. I enjoy talking about them and will cover every detail about any one you are interested in. I have videos I can share as well.... just ask.
