I’m Emma. I was hatched on June 16th, 1999 and lived with a very nice couple for 9 years. Then my new human mommy took me in in June of 2008. I was very scared and would not let her touch me so she talked to me every day and fed me and about a year later, I decided that she was ok. I like to drop upside down and swing (we call it going “wheeeee”), and I like to have my head scratched. My human daddy, Jeff passed away last year and my human mommy had to move to a much smaller home. It is just big enough for us big blue and gold macaws and since it like living in an apartment, she is afraid that when we all get to squawking, it is just too noisy for her neighbors. So, she is trying to find a new forever home for me.
If you would like to be my new human mommy or daddy, send her a note telling her about yourself and your experience with birds. Last year I stayed with a sweet couple for about a month and guess what – I was not afraid of the new humans. I guess you humans ARE ok.
