Moluccan Cockatoo looking for forever home. She is very friendly and lovable. Does not bite, very playful, wings never clipped, will fly to you and enjoys walking on the floor, she will hop too and it's so cute. When she's on your arm she likes to stare at you, tilts her head and zooms in closer to your eyeball. It is so funny. She has beautiful colors and likes to stand on her cage flapping her wings. Won't fly, just flaps and bobs her head. She is such a wonderful creature and I will miss her dearly.... (read more) You must have experience with large birds; will not consider someone that's never had a parrot. Her name is Tally and she's 24 years old. Cockatoos can live up to 70+ years of age. Tally is located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and I will not ship. She doesn't talk, but sometimes mumbles and she whistles. Typically she is only loud when you're not in the same room with her and just before bedtime (7-8PM). Fair rehoming fee and cage also available for additional charge. It does come apart easily to fit in SUV, van/truck. She's had this cage before I got her. She listens to the command "Tally, get in your cage, time for ni-night". Some nights she goes in by herself. She eats Zupreem pellets and also a seed blend, but mostly pellets. She prefers seeds only so I limit how much she gets daily. Also loves corn on the cob, uncooked, green beans, pasta (cooked or uncooked), carrots, peaches. I will not let her go to just anyone. Again, if you never had a Cockatoo or large parrot please do not reply. I truly love her and want to be sure she's placed somewhere safe. If you have other birds she may show aggression towards smaller birds. I've had her since December of 2018 and had hoped by now she would be friendly with my Umbrella Cockatoo, but sadly that's not happening and that is why I need to rehome her. Typically Moluccan Cockatoos are being adopted for $1500. I'm asking $1000. However if I find you are perfect for her and that's out of your budget we can work something out. It took her 3-4 months to bond with me, so expect the same. For the first few months she stayed on top of her cage. This was supposed to be my wife's bird but Tally chose to bond with me. I now have 2 Cockatoos that want all my attention, it wouldn't be so bad but Tally is still aggressive towards Gabby, my Umbrella Cockatoo. If you are seriously interested please PM me and I will quickly reply and answer all your questions. Thanks for taking the time to read my ad.
