I can’t remember who her breeder was but I do remember that she was pretty awesome! She is banded tho Incase she ever gets lost... Back to her breeder tho...she had all kinds of exotic birds and one lonely baby Indian Ringneck (she was Only 7 weeks old at the time)... she was actually raised with a cockatiel who had the same hatch date as she! They were both hand fed & tamed and were raised together side by side (sharing a cage and everything) and were BFFs!!... (read more) So...We thought this would be a perfect situation because we already have a Cockatiel so we thought they’d get along but BOY WERE WE WRONG!!! Kiwi, the IRN that I’m rehoming chases him all over the place. Don’t get me wrong, she is a sweet bird but even in reading it says NEVER to try to mingle them as there have been many cases of Ringnecks tearing out an eye or ripping off the beaks of cockatiels! And since she has started her bluffing stage she is extra cranky right now, especially around him. Please do not worry about the “Bluffing Stage” as it is a very normal period for IRNs to go thru starting around 6 months to 1 year of age and can last up to 1 full year. It really is just a phase, I promise! So if u’ll come and meet her and if u love her now, then in a few more months from now, u’re REALLY gonna love her even more. She should become much more tame and less nippy! Especially when it’s concerning FINGERS! Please... for your own sanity... while she is still bluffing, keep ur finger away from her at all times! I know that she may seem aggressive sometimes (like when u go in for the pet or want her to step up and she’s in her tray on top of her cage (very territorial) but I really promise u that she will become friendly once again soon! It’s just a IRN thing! The bluffing stage is a tough thing to go thru, I have heard it compared to being sorta like puberty and if u handle it right u will come thru with an even more amazing bird than u had before! I know I got off topic but I wanted to be sure that I had a chance to tell u everything about her! But wait... there more! She looks like a little duckling so we call her Ducky or Rubber Ducky, Birdie, Love Dove, and of course she knows her name is Kiwi ????. She was named after the golden kiwi tho. She enjoys her daily bath in her 2nd water bowl,
