Hello! Three baby red-crowned kakariki are being hand-fed New Eden Avian Conservancy. There are two greens and one cinnamon. They should be ready to go to their new homes in late May. Babies will be tame, taught to step up, and weaned onto a healthy diet of seed, vegetables, fruits, and sprouts. Babies will be closed-banded with the year, aviary name, and a unique serial number for identification purposes. Mom is cinnamon turquoise and dad is normal green.... We believe testing the parents for disease is important, thus the pair has been disease-tested for psittacine beak and feather disease (PBFD), polyomavirus, bornavirus (PDD), psittacosis, Pacheo's disease, and bordetella avium (lockjaw). Paperwork showing proof of testing will be provided upon request.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a kakariki until weaning. We offer a one-week health guarantee. A full refund will be administered if the bird does not survive the first week and a certified avian veterinarian performs a necropsy and finds the cause of death to be due to disease, infection or injury incurred prior to your aquisition of the bird.
