Meet Elio, a curious, people-loving conure who is just over a year old. Unfortunately, I need to rehome him because I am moving apartments.

Elio keeps himself busy with his toys, which you will inherit, and he loves chomping on apples and kale (which he eats in an adorably human way). He is typically quiet, especially when you are at home and in sight, however he can scream for you to come back when you leave the room. He doesn’t talk currently, but he does know how to “wave” and “shake hands,” and will do so happily when asked.... (read more) He also loves having his head scratched and has fallen asleep in my hand in the past.

Elio is incredibly social, with both friends and strangers, but he can get very nippy and aggressive when meeting someone for the first time. He has overcome this with friends though. Also, his wings aren’t clipped, but he only flies when he is startled. You can clips his wings if you want to be on the safe side.

I’m looking for a caring home for Elio where someone can spend time with him and play with him, developing a bond to overcome his initial aggression to strangers. Those with bird experience are ideal. Elio has spent some time outside of a cage with a parakeet, so he seems to be fine with other birds once he gets to know them. He will also come with a pretty, jade-colored rolling cage with a play area at the top.
