All hand raised since nestlings. Hand tamed. Hand fed during weening, and often before that (as young as 10 days old). All finger perch. All perch on arms and most perch on shoulders. Sweet, cuddly, inquisitive, playful & interactive. Males coo & laugh the most. All very healthy.... (read more) Fed a diet of a variety of seeds, fresh veggies & egg. They are handled, cuddled & get flight time pretty regularly. If you want them for pets, these are perfect! But will make good breeders & parents. 1 brother & sister were very loving surrogates to 1 lucky girl! Some of the egg layers are extremely dedicated nest attendants.
Not for release! That is cruel! Well trained rock pigeons are the birds for release, NOT domestic doves!

Doves live about 20-25 years, so be prepared for a time commitment. Requires daily water & food dish cleaning, daily enclosure cleaning & regular perch cleaning & environment free of pollutants (ie: incense, candles, smoking, Teflon, etc). I care about these sweet beauties, so please be sure you have a safe environment & can & will provide adequate care.

All my doves are siblings, so not recommended for breeding with each other. Get a second one from another family for breeding. Or get 2 from the same sex so they will have company! If you want to breed doves, please be aware of what that entails and that doves are very prolific breeders. A single dove is fine as a pet, but be sure you have time to provide it regular companionship. They are social creatures!

Having an existing business in e-commerce, I am able to get discounted USPS shipping labels and pass on those savings to you. I also have Amazon Prime, so the bird shipping box you will need to purchase will not include any shipping costs for me to receive it. As seen in photo, I package the box with padding, towels, a wood branch perch (for stability & to keep it off its own droppings), food, water, and a handmade toy on a string you can transfer to your new dove's enclosure at its new forever home. It will be well provided for during its journey to you!

Shipped from Orange County, CA (So Cal). I have shipped a total of 7 doves without issues. So, if you are in the US, I don't mind mailing them. It's a 1-3 day process, depending on your location.
