Very kind male cockatoo, 7 years old. This bird is loved and very well cared of. He gets out of his cage over 4 hours per day. He flies outside every day. He is microchipped, has a USDA pet passport, has gone to the vet every 6 months. Never has been sick. He never has been pet on his body/ below the head, to prevent unwanted hebaviors. His wings are not clipped but the 7 major flight feathers are "skinny trimmed"(meaning he can glide/fly about 40 feet outside when launched from owner's arm, but doesn't take off in the house and can't go upwards).... (read more) He sleeps in a covered cage every night about 10 to 12 hours. Trying to relocate to a good home that knows cockatoos. I'm moving abroad and it's just too complicated to bring him, unfortunately. Comes with a gigantic and solid cage, open top, 6 feet high x 3.6 feet wide x 3 feet deep and a nice self standing branch perch that he loves (both the cage and the perch!). His diet is varied and complete, and nuts/seeds are just an occasional treat, not part of his daily diet. Will provide more details on what food he likes or not to next family. Will not let go to just about anyone. We want to find the right fit, we just want him happy, loved and cared for properly.
