Only 10 months old, they were handfed as babies but are a little hand shy now. They will not run away from hands and will perch on your for treats, but they don't like to be picked up and cuddled anymore. They can probably be worked with to get them back there, they used to be very cuddly. They don't bite if you do need to pick them up, they just squirm and try to get away.
They are flighted and will return to their cage on their own in the evening but they used to being out most of the day otherwise, most days.... (read more) They can adjust to your schedule but they will need at least a few hours out of their cage daily to exercise and interact with you to keep them tame. They eat pellets, leafy greens, fresh veggies, berries and other fruit, hard-boiled egg, and seed mix - which I also soak and sprout for them.
Fable (dark green) is likely female, Story (cobalt blue) is likely male, but they have not been DNA tested. They must go together as pets, please do not separate them. If breeding is a concern there are many things that can be done to prevent it (don't give them a nest box for one thing), and linnies are typically hard to bring into breeding condition anyway, so it really shouldn't be a problem. I am happy to be available to give advice and answer questions throughout their lifetimes.
They can come with or without their full-size cages and/or travel cages, if needed. Gently used 30” flight: $50, new travel cage: $15.
Please include some details about your experience with owning birds, (even if none, that's okay!). I just want to know if you have read this and are thoughtfully considering adopting these linnies. :)
Thank you!
