Baby boy is about 6 weeks old January 30. Still on formula 4 times a day. He weighs almost 500 grams. Very active. Makes little chatters. Once over five months, he will be weaned and ready for his new home. We provide a contract with detailed information, along with a 30 page notebook on eclectus care, and life time free advice by phone or email. We have been raising eclectus for around 40 years now. He will know how to step up. He will be fully flighted as wing clipped parrots tend to become feather pluckers.... I have been keeping and breeding parrots since 1980, primarily eclectus parrots, but also amazons, macaws, cockatoos. Greater vasas, and others on occasion. I am a member of the AFA, ASA, OPA, NAIA and SPBE. I have worked as Legislative VP for bird orgs, and also as President of AFA in the nineties. I have written many articles about parrots and about legislation and regulation to inform people about the ongoing efforts of animal rights to restrict and prevent bird ownership in the US....
