Greater vasa parrots are from Madagascar and are not common in the US. They are very unusual birds, very smart, and clearly the engineers in the bird world. They are adept flyers, fast and flexible. This boy here is available as a breeding bird. We have raised them and have some extra males available.

Shipping Notes

We ship birds in airline approved kennels. Birds are also available for pickup at a local site in Oklahoma.

I have been keeping and breeding parrots since 1980, primarily eclectus parrots, but also amazons, macaws, cockatoos. Greater vasas, and others on occasion. I am a member of the AFA, ASA, OPA, NAIA and SPBE. I have worked as Legislative VP for bird orgs, and also as President of AFA in the nineties. I have written many articles about parrots and about legislation and regulation to inform people about the ongoing efforts of animal rights to restrict and prevent bird ownership in the US....
