One male and one female green parakeet, approximately 2 years old. This is a bonded pair that must stay together. Neither are hand tamed.

Female is unable to fly and prefers quietly perching in the cage or nesting. She has previously laid eggs, but none have hatched. She is friendly. However, she may nip at fingers if she feels threatened.

Male is friendly, but timid. He enjoys flying around, but will be satisfied if left in a roomy cage with the female.... (read more) He gets along with other birds.

This is a great pair of someone looking to potentially breed green parakeets and those looking for cage-bound birds to keep as pets. They are not ideal birds for children or someone looking for hand tamed pets. I recently purchased them from a local pet store, along with the female's brother. They had been at the store since arriving as babies a year and a half ago and were at risk of being separated.

Will provide a small starter cage for transport (including perch, food, water dishes), nesting coconut for female.

Must be able to pickup in Clearwater, FL. A small cage for transport will be provided for free. This cage is not intended to be used for permanent housing.
