We have a bird that needs a flock. We’ve had it for about 10 months, and it simply has not acclimated to life without bird companions. It was hand-fed as a hatchling, and it will sit on shoulders and loves interactions. It takes time and training though, of course, and it will bite. The bird’s mother over-preened and bit off the toes, so this bird needs platforms. It uses its beak like an ice pick, it will hook a spot and pull itself up.... (read more)
