4year old well trained scarlet macaw
We fully train birds to make them more adoptable! A young baby macaw was brought to our rescue. We worked with him for about 2 years to make him a great bird. He is looking for a new home. He is 4 years old and is highly trained and knows a lot of tricks! His wings are NOT trimmed. He is not nearly as noisy as our previous macaws and we will give you tools to help keep him that way! (Note that he is a macaw and macaws ARE loud and he still makes some sounds but doesn’t scream constantly like most other macaws) He is a special bird for his talents and his training he has under his belt and we wish to find him a good home.... (read more) Our rescue birds do NOT include a cage. He is an absolutely stunning bird due to his ability to take baths and spend time in the sun, his plumage is so brilliant.

His list of tricks:
*wave
*spin
*spreads his wings
*shake
*high five
*roll over
*jump
*dances
*step up
*takes showers
*targets a stick
*gives a kiss
*will perch on your hand rather than shoulder rushing
*you can hold him on his back
*goes potty on command
* you can throw him and he will return to you
*flips over to hang upside down on your hand
*flys to you when called
*you can hold his feet in your hand for total control
*says his name if you ask him
*asks you what your name is
*he can do many different puzzle games SA: placing rings on a peg, placing objects in a cup & even placing coins into a slot
*allows for a gentle nail file
*allows you to touch his wings to inspect them
*he does free fly with us, however, we do not recommend he spends time outside without proper training to avoid death or injuries

Again he is a rare bird for his list of tricks and how well trained he is. Most birds only know a few things but since I am a trainer, I worked with him and he is much more advanced than an average bird.
