I have a beautiful African Grey who has been part of our family for nearly three decades. She’s 29 years old, though you’d never know it — she still looks and acts like a much younger bird. My sister hand‑fed her from the time she was a baby, and after my sister passed 17 years ago, I’ve cared for her ever since.
She’s the sweetest little soul. She tells you when she’s ready for bed, laughs when you laugh, and has a whole vocabulary of words and sounds that keep everyone smiling.... (read more)
